Since 1985, America has celebrated July as Park and Recreation Month. A program of the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), the goal is to raise awareness of the vital impact that parks, recreation and conservation have on communities across the United States.
This July, the Town of Mammoth Lakes Parks and Recreation Department and the National Recreation and Park Association are celebrating A Lifetime of Discovery. Explore the “undiscovered” roles of local parks and recreation with a variety of fun activities planned for residents of all ages and abilities.
The Town is celebrating Parks and Recreation Month with our signature summer event series. Visit our dedicated community events page below for a comprehensive list of our July events, along with our many camps, programs, leagues and tournaments.
We are all recreation – all the time!
