Inspections are scheduled for the next business day so long as the request is received by 5 pm the prior business day. Next-day inspections are our standard; however, you may schedule inspections as far ahead as necessary. There are no same-day inspections.

If you would rather call - (760) 965-3639 - when leaving a voicemail, you must include the following:
- permit number
- job site address
- type of inspection
- date requested
- AM or PM if desired
- contact information for the person who will meet the inspector onsite
Failure to include the above information may result in your inspection not being scheduled.
Engineering Inspections
As part of the Inspection Services and Code Compliance Workgroup, the Public Works Department Engineering Division staff performs engineering inspections on both public and private development projects. These projects include grading operations, new streets, driveways, drainage, stormwater, wastewater, and all other utility construction projects within the Town right of way. Engineering inspections assure compliance with Town Standards and acceptable engineering practices.
