Town Council Approved Funding for Scheduled Charter Air Service to Mammoth Yosemite Airport

Town Council approved up to $200,000 in partnership with Mammoth Lakes Tourism ($275,000) to bring scheduled charter air service to Mammoth Yosemite Airport this winter. Chartered air service provided by Advanced Air LLC could begin as early as this Thanksgiving and extend through April 4, 2022. The air service will link Mammoth Yosemite Airport to Hawthorne Airport, Burbank Airport and Carlsbad Airport. 

Town Ends Fiscal Year 2020-21 with Better than Anticipated Revenues

The Town’s 4th quarter updated budget approved by Town Council on August 18, demonstrated the effectiveness of the Town’s budget process and resilience of the Mammoth Economy. Total revenues increased by $3,346,400 over Fiscal Year third quarter. The previous Town commitment of $6 million for housing funding incorporated $2,762,277 of the year end revenue.

Funded Capital projects included:

 - $250,000 added to the Radio/Communications Upgrade Project

 - $100,000 in support of a “dog park” at Mammoth Creek Park East (pending USFS approval)

 - $175,000 for facility improvements for Town Offices

 - $167,646 held in “transit reserves” for future projects/vehicles

 - Other adjustments included a variety of budget adjustments totaling $418,720 - $103,895 was added to reserves

Mono County Public Health Requires Face Masks for all Persons in Indoor Public Spaces

In Response to spiking COVID-19 cases in Mono County all persons are required to wear a mask in public indoor spaces – regardless of vaccination status. The Mask requirement is effective Friday, August 6, 2021.

Testing provided by OPTUMServe is now at the Community Center (1000 Forest Trail). Testing is offered from 11am-7pm every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.
