Inn at the Village

The Inn at the Village (Inn) is a redesign of the 8050C project. The project site is located in the North Village Specific Plan between Fireside Condominiums and the existing 8050A and B project. The Inn would face Minaret Road and be located above the existing parking structure. The project includes a 67 room hotel with food and beverage service, a pedestrian entrance along Minaret Road, a spa, and a west-facing pool terrace.

The Inn is designed to improve functionality of the 8050 project through traditional and efficient hotel rooms with increased solar access. The project includes increased density (through a transfer from the Mammoth Crossing sites), increased height, and a reduction in the street setback (along Minaret Road).

The second reading of the ordinance amending the North Village Specific Plan (NVSP) for the Inn at the Village project was approved on December 3, 2014. The ordinance became effective on January 3, 2015.

At this public hearing, the Town Council voted 3-1 to certify the Subsequent Environmental Impact Report (EIR), introduce the ordinance amending the North Village Specific Plan (NVSP), and approve the Vesting Tentative Tract Map, Use Permit, and Design Review.

Planning and Economic Development Commission - Public Hearing

At this public hearing, the Planning and Economic Development Commission made a 3-1 recommendation to the Town Council to approve the Inn at the Village project. Since the project includes amending the North Village Specific Plan (NVSP), approval by the Town Council is required.

Advisory Design Panel - December 13, 2013

A follow up meeting with the Advisory Design Panel (ADP) was held on Friday, December 13th at 9:30am in the Town/County Conference Room at 437 Old Mammoth Road (above Giovanni's). At this meeting, ADP reviewed preliminary sketches from the applicant to address ADP's comments from the November 14th meeting.

The Advisory Design Panel (ADP) reviewed the proposed design of the Inn on Thursday, November 14th in Town Council Chambers/Suite Z at 9:30am. ADP discussed the proposed site design and building design, including building orientation, height, massing, façade design, materials, and colors.
