We offer a variety of youth programming throughout the year for locals and visitors alike.
Join Coach Kinsey for introduction to gymnastics classes at the Mammoth Lakes Community Center. These structured, beginner level classes focus on basic gymnastics skills such as forward rolls, backwards rolls, cartwheels, handstands and bridges, as well as other gross and fine motor skills. Students will be introduced to several apparatuses (including bars, balance beam, floor and vault) and improve coordination, agility, balance, strength and flexibility. Classes are scheduled for 6-week sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings throughout the year.
An intermediate class is scheduled on Wednesday evenings for students who are able to perform a cartwheel, handstand, pullover and bridge kickover.
Hot Shots Basketball
Hot Shots is a fun and exciting co-ed instructional basketball program for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders taught by Coach Lauren, Recreation Coordinators, and parent volunteers. The first month of the program is clinic style where the children learn the skills of the game. The last two months of the program is intramural league play where the children are divided up into teams where they will play against each other.
