4th Annual Winter Classic Youth Hockey Tournament Winter Classic Tournament

Support the Mammoth Stars this weekend (December 7-9) in their first tournament of the season, the 4th Annual Winter Classic. Teams from Tahoe, Las Vegas, Reno, Bishop, the East Bay and Mammoth Lakes will square off at the Mammoth Ice Rink from Friday through Sunday. Mite Cross Ice 8U - Squirt B - Peewee B - HSJV-Non checking. Spectators welcome - FREE entry. 

FREE Skate Night at the Mammoth Ice Rink - December 14Free

Join us for a FREE Skate Night at the Mammoth Ice Rink on December 14 from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. Includes admission and rentals (subject to availability).

Skate with Santa and Tea Kettle Curling - December 20Skate with Santa

Get into the holiday spirit a the Mammoth Ice Rink and join us for this fun, family event on Thursday, December 20, 2018. Enjoy skating and photos with our very special guest...SANTA!

Santa is scheduled to arrive at 5:30PM and will stay for photos and skating through 8:00PM until he loads up his sleigh and heads to the North Pole!

Adults and children can also try their luck at tea kettle curling.

Ice Skating Lessons

2017-2018 Ice Skating

Open to all levels of ice skating enthusiasts! This 6-week program focuses on developing coordination, strength, balance and safely skills. Classes will meet on Mondays from January 7, 2019 - February 11, 2019 (weather permitting). Program fee is $50 and includes skate & helmet rentals.

Kindergarten - Grade 1: 3:15 -3:30 PM
Grade 2 - Grade 5: 4:00-4:30 PM
Grade 6 - Grade 8: 4:45 - 5:15 PM

Please feel free to send your child to class with a bike/ski helmet until they learn to 'fall safely'.

Adult Curling

Curling is back in Mammoth Lakes! Get your friends, coworkers, and curling enthusiasts together and form a team today. Four players on the ice at one time, playing twice a week on Sundays and Tuesdays at 7:00 or 8:15 p.m. at the Mammoth Ice Rink. Registration opens Saturday, December 8 at 8:00 a.m. and is $150/team. Only one registration required per team. League play will commence on January 6 and conclude on February 12 with the final playoff match. 

Adult Indoor Soccer League

Registration for the Adult Indoor Soccer League is now OPEN. Drop-in sessions will be held on January 6 & 13, with league games scheduled to begin on Sunday, January 20, 2019. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, so please register early to avoid disappointment.

Toddler Time

Toddler Time will be offered at the Mammoth Lakes Community Center (1000 Forest Trail) on Tuesday from 9:30-11:00 a.m. (4-week sessions) by Carole Mills beginning September 25, 2018.

Toddler Time is open to all parents who have children under kindergarten ages with typically 6-8 kids per class (max. enrollment 16). Sessions commence on September 25, 2018 and conclude on December 18, 2018 (See Table 1). Cost is only $48 / child per 4-week session with a 50% sibling discount. Payment is requested at time of enrollment in each 4-week session.

 Mammoth Peapod Playgroup

Join the Mammoth Peapod playgroup. Connect with parents and children in your area. All Mono County expecting parents and families with children birth to five are invited to participate.

Special Event Permits

Event organizers are required to submit a special event permit application form that includes a detailed operating plan. Please submit at least 30 days prior to your event. More info.
