The Parks and Recreation Department is all recreation, all the time. We are passionate about our Town parks and facilities and committed to providing innovative and age-appropriate programming that connects with each and every community member to promote healthy and active lifestyles.
The Department proudly provides the following services:
The inclusive playground is scheduled to be installed this summer and the Town is looking for volunteers. This inclusive playground will provide opportunities for physical, social-emotional, sensory, cognitive, and communicative benefits of play for all abilities, but first we need your help to install it! The ‘supervised’ community build is scheduled from June 11 – 22, 2018. Work will be performed Monday through Friday from 7:30 am - 4:30 pm. Each volunteer shift enters you into a raffle to win some great prizes including two 3-day early passes to Bluesapalooza, a 32-inch television, family season passes to Whitmore pool, and more! The Whitmore Pool is OPEN for Lap Swim.
Tuesdays & Thursdays 5:30-7:30pm
Public Recreation Swim will begin on Saturday, June 16 2018.

Community Tennis Courts Rehabilitation Project
As part of our deferred maintenance program, the Community Tennis Courts will be undergoing resurfacing, repainting and crack repair from Monday, May 14 to Friday, May 18, 2018. We are scheduled to reopen prior to Memorial Day Weekend.
Little Sluggers T-Ball | May 2 - June 6, 2018
Introduce your young two to five year old to the sport of baseball! We will be meeting on Wednesday evenings from 5:15 to 6:00 p.m. at the Mammoth Elementary School fields. Parent participation is required. Register today!
Registration for our summer camps, programs, and swim lessons opened on Monday, April 2, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. P.S.T. Some spots are still available and if the camp or program you were really hoping to join is sold out join the waitlist. FAQs about Waitlists
Toddler time takes place on Tuesdays at the Mammoth Lakes Community Center. Each 4-week session is $48, sibling and drop-in rates available.
Peapod Playgroups will resume at the Mammoth Community Center on February 15, 2018. Connect with parents and children in your area. All Mono County expecting parents and families with children birth to five are invited to participate.
