This July, the Town of Mammoth Lakes Parks and Recreation Department is celebrating Park and Recreation Month, an initiative of the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), and all the ways parks and recreation has the power to transform our daily lives. Parks and Recreation have a host of fun events, camps, programs and activities planned for July.  Visit www.mammothrecreation.com to review our exciting line-up and we encourage our community to share why they think play is so important with the hashtag #PlayOnJuly.


JULY EVENTS, CAMPS, PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITES

July 1-Aug 18 Private Swim Lessons (subject to availability)
For adults and children wanting individual attention in learn-to
swim basics through to advanced stroke improvement.

July 1–Oct 12 Tennis at the Community Courts
Private Tennis Lessons (subject to availability)
Sunday Tennis Social (every Sunday 9am-noon, $10)
Drop in clinics (every Tue & Thurs 3:30pm-5:30pm, $10)

July 5–Aug 30 Adult Men’s Softball League
Mondays and Wednesdays from 5pm at Shady Rest Park.  

July 5-July 7 Wave Rave Skate Camp II
Designed for beginner to intermediate skaters 3-14 years old,
this 3 day camp will have you ready to shred in no time!  


July 6–Aug 31
Adult Co-ed Softball League
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5pm at Shady Rest Park. 

July 8 FREE Skate Night @ the Mammoth RecZone
Join us for FREE admission and rentals at the Mammoth RecZone. Join us for an 80s themed skate party, 6pm-9pm

July 10-14 Week Long Group Swim Lessons
American Red Cross Swim Programs for children, beginners to
advanced.

July 15-16 Men’s Softball Tournament
Slow pitch, round-robin format softball tournament. For information, contact Grover Swick, Tournament Director, on (760) 963-4902.

July 17-21 Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp
The most popular camp in the USA and Canada, with an innovative curriculum and internationally recruited coaches.

July 17-21 Climbing Camp III (Minis: 3-5 years)
This camp is perfect for aspiring climbers who want to have fun, climb safely and learn climbing techniques.

July 17-21 Week Long Group Swim Lessons
American Red Cross Swim Programs for children, beginners to advanced.

July 19-21 Wave Rave Skate Camp III

July 24-28 Wilderness Camp II (Youth: 10-14 years)
Enjoy the Mammoth outdoors day hikes, outdoor games, bouldering, cave exploration, survival shelters and an overnight campout.

July 25-27 Adult Tennis Camp and Social
Camps for adults and seniors to with skill improvement, drills and match play.

July 29 Beach Volley Tournament @ Shady Rest Park
Mammoth’s inaugural 4-on-4, round-robin format, beach volleyball tournament. Call (760) 965-3590 to register your team.

July 30 FREE Swim Sunday @ Whitmore Pool
FREE admission at the Whitmore pool.

July 31-Aug 1 Climbing Camp IV (Minis: 3-5 years)
Hosted by Ground Up Climbing Guides, this camp is perfect for aspiring climbers who want to have fun, climb safely and learn valuable climbing techniques.

July 31-Aug 4 UK International Soccer Camp II
Age appropriate curriculum that develop the whole player, as an athlete and as a person, and provide them with the tools and self
belief to reach their goals on and off the field.
